The SATB version of this piece is dedicated to my children. I started to search for a
text that I could use for a lullaby shortly before our third child was
born, and began to compose the melody a few weeks after his arrival in April 2009.
The SSA version is dedicated to my dear friends Joelle and Reese Norris, two exceptional choir directors in north Mississippi, and their adorable baby girl, Isabelle.
