Exsultate was commissioned by the University of Mississippi Choirs (Oxford, Mississippi) and premiered on October 25, 2018 under the direction of Dr. Don Trott. Set to the Latin text of Psalm 33:1, 3, the work begins with an energetic and rhythmically driven opening. Following a lyrical, serene middle section, the final section reinforces the jubilant spirit of the text, bringing the piece to a celebratory conclusion.
